Winter can be an isolating time of year and that can be especially true for those with Alzheimer’s or dementia. Venturing out into the cold weather and dealing with shorter days limits the options of activities that stimulate the mind. Our grief support groups offer a confidential space for individuals to openly express their feelings, engage in discussions, find solace, and extend comfort to those who have undergone similar experiences. The FFRI grief support group meets virtually on the fourth Wednesday of each month from 7 – 8 pm. In 2024, those dates are January 24, February 28, March 27, April 24, May 22 and June 26.
