Eshan Samuel, MD
About me
Dr. Eshan Samuel is an assistant professor of clinical pediatrics at SIU School of Medicine, specializing in pediatric gastroenterology. He completed his MBBS at Gandhi Medical College, Bhopal Barkatullah University in Bhopal MP, India. He completed a pediatric residency at West Virginia University, Charleston Area Medical Center in Charleston, West Virginia, and a fellowship in pediatric gastroenterology at the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston, Texas. He has research experience in the effect of modified dietary interventions in preventing progression of non-alcoholic fatty liver disease and social media use in pediatric patients with the diagnosis of functional gastrointestinal disorder. He also has a background in quality improvement with projects in adolescent immunization rates, care for patients diagnosed with obesity, and documentation of classification of asthma in patients diagnosed with asthma. Dr. Samuel is board certified in pediatrics and pediatric gastroenterology.
