Stop by Beth's Rx Café -- it's just what the doctor ordered!
SIU Medicine made significant enhancements to its facilities in 2024. In particular, renovations to the atrium space of the 825 building created a vibrant and welcoming environment for patients, students and staff alike. It also led to the inclusion of Beth's Rx Café, a warm and inviting bistro generously funded by alumni Tom Nielsen and Kathy Bohn and named for their daughter Beth Nielsen. These updates reflect SIU Medicine's commitment to build spaces that inspire connection, healing and community.
Owned and operated by the Three Gen Hospitality Group, the coffeehouse is nestled in the atrium between the SIU School of Medicine and the Springfield Combined Laboratory. Beth's Rx Café serves breakfast and lunch bites as well as afternoon pick-me-ups in a modern industrial space.
Convenient parking is available north of the Springfield Combined Laboratory entrance.
