Local plastic surgeon, world-renowned training
Michael Ruebhausen, MD, is a board-certified plastic and reconstructive surgeon who specializes in all aspects of plastic surgery, from cosmetics to hand surgery and wounds. Dr. Ruebhausen grew up in Southern Illinois and now calls Decatur home.
After medical school, Dr. Ruebhausen completed SIU School of Medicine's internationally recognized plastic and reconstructive surgery residency program. He returned to central Illinois in 2021 after working in private practice in the Chicago area. Today, he works full-time at the Institute for Plastic Surgery in Decatur and is eager to continue serving the people of central and southern Illinois.

At the Institute for Plastic Surgery in Decatur, you'll find a modern, comfortable office and a warm, welcoming staff. Located adjacent to Decatur Memorial Hospital, our office is in Suite 205 at 302 West Hay Street.
