Kristina Sondgeroth, MD
About me
Dr. Sondgeroth earned a bachelor's degree from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and obtained her medical degree from University of Illinois College of Medicine in Chicago, IL. She completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, MO and served as Chief Administrative Resident in her final year of residency. Following this, Dr. Sondgeroth pursued a fellowship in Maternal-Fetal Medicine at Washington University School of Medicine.
Her clinical interests include maternal medical disorders complicating pregnancy such as hypertension and diabetes, as well as fetal complications such as growth restriction and multifetal gestations. She is also actively involved in teaching medical students and residents, and has received the CREOG National Faculty Award for Excellence in Resident Education. Dr Sondgeroth is also interested in patient safety and quality, and serves at the Physician Director of Quality of Obstetrics at HSHS St. John's Hospital and as an Assistant Professor in Maternal-Fetal Medicine at SIU School of Medicine.
Dr. Sondgeroth is a member of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and Society for Maternal-Fetal Medicine, and is double-board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and Maternal-Fetal Medicine.
