Michael Sabo, MD
About me
Dr. Michael Sabo grew up in Belleville, Illinois and earned both his Bachelors and Master degrees in Chemistry from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville. Following a few years of teaching college chemistry, he returned to medical school at SIU School of Medicine. Prior to beginning training in Radiology at SIU, he completed a Transitional Year residency at the University of Kentucky’s Bowling Green Campus.
In his free time, Dr. Sabo enjoys playing video games, tinkering on home improvement projects, teaching medical students, and hanging out with friends.
He chose radiology because of the diversity of the pathology and the opportunity to contribute his knowledge and expertise to the care of nearly every patient in the healthcare system. It also doesn’t hurt that utilizing image guidance for procedures such as biopsies and drainages feels a bit like a superpower.
