Tamara Breckon, CNP, brings a wealth of experience to her role at SIU Center for Family Medicine Jacksonville, where she collaborates with Jodie VanMeter, DNP, to provide comprehensive primary care. With a diverse background spanning family medicine, acute care, and emergency nursing, Tamara is dedicated to delivering personalized, patient-centered care to individuals of all ages.
Her professional journey includes serving as a Nurse Practitioner in Family Medicine with HSHS Medical Group in Jacksonville, IL, as well as working in acute care with HSHS Priority Care in Springfield, IL, and Boyd Healthcare Services in Carrollton, IL. Prior to becoming a Nurse Practitioner, Tamara gained extensive experience as an Emergency Department RN at Jacksonville Memorial Hospital (formerly Passavant Area Hospital).
Tamara is skilled in diagnosing and managing a wide range of acute and chronic conditions. Her compassionate approach ensures that every patient receives the highest quality of care tailored to their unique needs.
