Virtual care through telehealth

SIU School of Medicine was founded with a mission to advance patient care for central and southern Illinois. It has created an environment of advocacy and access, helping communities to solve their local health problems.

SIU Telehealth Services use the latest technology to deliver medical, educational and research information to patients and practitioners in a convenient, cost-effective way.

Telehealth encompasses patient consultations through video conferencing, transmission of still images, remote monitoring of vital signs, continuing medical education, consumer-focused wireless applications, nursing call centers and other applications.
