Herniated disc
Overview
Herniated disc, sometimes called a slipped disc, is when the soft, rubbery interior disc of the spinal cord becomes misaligned and protrude through an opening in the exterior bones of the spine. Symptoms include pain and weakness. Sometimes, the pain is felt further away from where the actual herniation occurs. Treatment includes medication, physical therapy, and possibly surgery.
