Hyperkalemia

    Overview

Hyperkalemia occurs when there is too much potassium in the blood. This can cause muscle weakness, irregular heartbeats or even a heart attack if not treated. Treatment may include diet changes, medication or other therapies to lower potassium levels and protect your heart.
