Primary Peritoneal Cancer

    Overview

Primary peritoneal cancer is a rare cancer. It develops in a thin layer of tissue that lines the abdomen, and is similar in many ways to Ovarian Cancer. It also covers the uterus, bladder, and rectum. Symptoms can be hard to detect, but include abdominal discomfort, nausea, diarrhea, and loss of appetite.
