Anand Patel, PharmD

Dr. Anand Patel, served as a pharmacist for almost 10 years. He started my career as a Community Pharmacist after graduating from SIUe School of pharmacy. After working in the community setting for 5 years, he worked as a Staff Pharmacist at Springfield Memorial Hospital for four and a half years before accepting the opportunity to work as an Ambulatory Care Pharmacist at SIU Medicine. 

Providing compassionate, empathetic, and impactful care to patients is Dr. Patel's biggest motivator. He's had the privilege of serving a diverse group of patients from different cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds throughout his career. These experiences have taught him to identify and address barriers to patient care, and the importance of providing equitable care.

In Dr. Patel's free time, he enjoys attending music concerts and other local events. He is a passionate traveler who takes every opportunity to travel both domestically and internationally. He also considers himself as a foodie and nature lover.
