Medication-Assisted Recovery (MAR)
Opioid use disorder can be treated.
Overview
Opioid use disorder is a chronic disease, like diabetes or high blood pressure. A person with opioid use disorder can regain a healthy and productive life with treatment. Medications can be used to treat opioid use disorder. Buprenorphine (Suboxone®) is one of those medications and if that is the right choice for you, it may be prescribed.
Medication-Assisted Recovery (MAR) can also go by the name Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) at some of our locations.
We offer MAR as a part of a comprehensive program, that includes medical appointments and behavioral therapy sessions. Additional treatments may be suggested based on the patient’s need.
