Fractures / Broken Bones
Overview
Fractured or broken bones require medical attention for proper treatment and healing.
Foot and Ankle Clinic
The Division of Orthopedic Surgery Foot and Ankle Clinic offers full service care, including reconstructive foot surgery and treatment for post-traumatic injuries. Many patients are referred to the clinic by primary physicians from throughout Illinois.
Our team of foot and ankle surgeons specialize in treating conditions ranging from ingrown toenails and plantar fasciitis to diabetic foot wounds and traumatic injury.
Total ankle replacement shows increasing promise in treating severe ankle problems. While total joint replacement surgery has been effective for treating arthritis of the hip, knee and shoulder, until recently, total ankle replacements were less common. As the procedure gains popularity in the U.S. to treat patients with painful and disabling ankle arthritis, new techniques lessen the healing process and patients recapture lost mobility.
